According to very credible sources, it seems like the IRS came knocking
on Labadee’s doors, located on 207-13 Jamaica Ave in Queens,  back in August of last year,  and they were not too happy with what they found. And you know when the IRS is not too happy, they’ll return the favor and make your life miserable.
At the beginning, the owners wanted to throw in the white towel and give up completely and let the landmark suffer a sudden death. However, after numerous appeals from past patrons, family members and friends, urging and begging the owners to reopen its doors. The owners went back on their decision and decided to work out a deal with the IRS. It is reported that they had to pay a hefty price. According to a source the restaurant could reopen as early as next month, upon obtaining the liquor license.
Labadee Manoir is famous for its delicious cuisine and it is a go-to place on Friday Night with its famous “Soiree Antillaise” for those who enjoy dancing to the sound of Zouk and the latest konpa tunes.  The owners took the opportunity to renovate the venue, with a new fresh and sharp look to welcome the anticipated faithful clients.
Welcome Back Labadee!
