As I rereported yesterday, there was a high level meeting last night between The NYPD commissioner and some of the Haitian elected official delegation which aimned to put pressure on the NYPD to revoke Sweet Micky’s permit in order to prevent Sweet Micky from participating in the West Indian American day Parade on September 2nd due to security concerns. It seems like the pressured had work because as of this morning, according to a very credible source, who spoke to the chairman Andrew Maloney of WAIDCA, the permit was revoked due to security concer as of this morning.
However, speaking to the promoter behind the Sweet Micky's float (glasses), he said as far as he is concerned the permit is under his name and his permit is still intact and no one has contacted him abou any cancellation and there is no ground for his float to be cancelled, unless they can provide proff of those threats or they'll have to cancel all the other Haitian bands participating. Ortherwise, he will take legal actions.
As we are writing this report, there is a high level meeting happening right between WIADCA and the Haitian elected officials.
This is a breaking story, stay tuned for more details.
I report, you decide.
